With approximately twenty years of experience working with wood, BVMOBILI brings material knowledge to the project from the selection stage. We work with oak, ash, maple, beech, alder, birch and other selected species, considering grain, appearance and the intended finish.
Material choices are specific to each component and design. Alongside solid wood, our capabilities include natural veneers over MDF, including distinctive figured and burl veneers. We discuss the construction and finish of the proposed cabinetry rather than treating every kitchen as the same material specification.
Our workshop capabilities include hand carving, patination, gilding, metal-leaf finishes, decorative painting and inlay. These techniques can be used selectively where they serve the design, from a subtle finish treatment to a focal cabinet or decorative feature.
